Shark Nose (APP / SAP)
Shark Nose ist APCOs Vorderkanten-Profil. Als APP-Profil hält es laut Hersteller den Innendruck über den ganzen Speed-Bereich ('zero deflations or momentarily pressure drops'); SAP ('Supported Accelerated Profile') ist das Verstärkungssystem, das die Eintrittskante stabilisiert.

Original-Aussage zum VIVA:

SAP — Supported Accelerated Profile
SAP definiert APCO als “a reinforcement system that stabilises the wing’s leading edge”. Beim NRG III: “The shark nose profile supported by SAP technology generates a much more efficient wing than ever before, but does not compromise on safety.”
