Skytex
Skytex is the ripstop nylon fabric by Porcher that APCO uses in its canopies — listed in the datasheets e.g. as 'Skytex 27 and 33 gr/m² Zero Porosity Ripstop Nylon', partly with a hard-finish coating on the ribs.

What the APCO datasheets say
The fabric specifications come from each model’s datasheet. Original examples:
- “Sail Cloth: Skytex 27 and 33 gr/m² ‘Zero Porosity’ Ripstop Nylon”
- “Sail Cloth - Bottom: 27gr Skytex”
- “Rib Cloth: 27gr Skytex Hard” and “Ribs are made from Skytex 33 gr. hard finish”
The number is the weight per area in g/m²; “hard finish” is the stiffer coating variant APCO uses on ribs, among other places.
What the light fabric delivers
Evidence from the Nestra Light: “Lighter — bottom surface is now 27 gr. Skytex material saving approximately 700 gr. with no sacrifice to longevity and durability.”
Origin
Skytex is made by Porcher Industries (France); the exact fabric combination of each model is in its datasheet under “Sail Cloth” / “Rib Cloth”.
