What kind of harness is the Kitto?
A pod harness for hike-and-fly. It is built without a seatboard, weighs 2.7 kg and has a deliberately small pack size — for everyone who carries it up the mountain instead of taking it out of the car. The reclined position costs some directness in weight-shift steering but brings considerably more comfort on long flights.
How is the protector constructed?
A substantial Airfoam protector that can be removed. That is the key point for hike-and-fly: you can take it out for the ascent to save volume, and it belongs inside for the flight. Never remove it in flight to save weight — it is the only protection between you and the ground.
How is the Kitto tested?
The product data lists an EN/LTF test. The exact test documents for your size are available as downloads — check there if certification matters for your insurance. There is no EN class A to D for harnesses; that describes only the flight behaviour of canopies.
Does the harness fit my wing?
In principle yes — harnesses and wings are not brand-bound. Two things matter: carabiner spacing and hang-point height. Both influence how directly the wing responds to weight shift; an XC wing wants a different geometry than a beginner wing. Tell us your wing and your body measurements and we will check the combination before you order.
Is a reserve parachute included?
No. Harness and reserve are ordered separately, and that makes sense: the reserve must match the suspended weight, the container the packing volume of the reserve. Tell us which rescue system you want to install — we will check in advance whether container and canopy fit together.
