Three reasons for APCO Trike Pilot Harness.
- EASY
Simple because it's engineered
“An engineering masterpiece is the one that simply works … a simple, straight-forward solution for any trike”.
- PERFORMANCE
Universal
“Will fit most trikes in use today”.
- SAFE
Synchronised as a set
Pilot and passenger harness are “designed to be used as part of an integrated set, synergized to work perfectly together”.
About this model.
Suitability: designed for use inside the trike frame — comfortable, safe and light (2.15 kg), with an integrated reserve container for the Mayday 28 UL. Certification status per the manufacturer: internally load tested up to 140 kg per person at 5.25 G, in coordination with the DGAC certification demands of the wing.

Frequently asked questions about the APCO Trike Pilot Harness.
What is this harness designed for?
For the pilot seat in a trike. The seating position in a trike differs from flying under the wing: a higher centre of gravity, plus additional loads from the trike frame and fuel. The harness is reinforced accordingly. A normal paragliding harness is not intended for this use.
Can I also fly it normally off the hill?
We advise against it. The design follows the trike geometry — attachment and seating position are tuned to it and do not suit foot launching on a slope. For free flight you need a harness built for it.
What EN class does this harness have?
None — and that is not a defect but a common mix-up. EN classes A to D describe the flight behaviour of paraglider canopies under EN 926-2. Harnesses are tested to their own standard (EN 1651), which covers the attachment, strength and the protector. If someone offers you a harness as "EN-A", it is mislabelled. The actual test documents for this model are available as downloads.
Is a reserve parachute included?
No. Harness and reserve are ordered separately, and that makes sense: the reserve must match the suspended weight, the container the packing volume of the reserve. Tell us which rescue system you want to install — we will check in advance whether container and canopy fit together.
