EHP — Embedded Hook-In Points
EHP (Embedded Hook-In Points) are APCO's hook-up points embedded into the canopy, made from Dyneema fiber. Per the manufacturer introduced in the 1990s, carrying a lifetime warranty — for the 'cleanest, most aerodynamic connection' between line and canopy.

EN Certification Class
The EN class describes the passive safety of a paraglider — from A (beginner) to D (competition). Classified to EN 926-2 by accredited test labs such as Air Turquoise or Aero Tests.

FLEXON® is APCO's batten system reinforcing leading edge and ribs. Per the manufacturer 'indestructible' and 'memory free' — the battens need no special care and no special folding technique.

Flow Aligned Ribs (FAR)
Flow Aligned Ribs (FAR) is an APCO construction in which the ribs morph direction from centre to tip, aligning with the natural direction of the flow — per the manufacturer for more performance and roll stability across the speed range. Built into the F1, F3, F3 Bi and NRG III.

HIT Valves are valves on the leading edge of APCO canopies. Per the manufacturer they deliver 'rock solid stability'; together with the profile they result in 'a very efficient and stable canopy'.

Hybrid Concept
APCO's hybrid concept combines properties of two wing classes or construction types in one model — the passive safety of a school wing plus the performance of a higher class. Used on the Hybrid (EN-B) and Hybrid Tandem, among others.

Reflex Profile
A reflex profile is a wing construction that stabilises the profile automatically at higher speed instead of letting it collapse. Standard on paramotor wings — per the datasheets, the V-max of the APCO reflex line ranges from 62 (F5) to 80 km/h (F1). The line includes the F1, F3, F5, F7, NRG III and F3 BI.

Reserve Repack (Pack Service)
The reserve repack is the mandatory recurring maintenance of a reserve parachute: a qualified person opens, airs, inspects and refolds the reserve to the manufacturer's manual. The interval is set by the manufacturer — APCO prescribes every six months for the Mayday series. Without a valid repack the reserve is not airworthy.

Shark Nose (APP / SAP)
Shark Nose is APCO's leading-edge profile. As the APP profile it retains, per the manufacturer, internal pressure across the entire speed range ('zero deflations or momentarily pressure drops'); SAP ('Supported Accelerated Profile') is the reinforcement system that stabilises the leading edge.

Sink Rate
The sink rate is the vertical speed at which a pilot descends under an open reserve parachute. Measured in metres per second (m/s) at the maximum certified pilot weight. Typical values: 4.9-5.5 m/s. EN/LTF limits the sink rate to a maximum of 6.8 m/s.

Skytex
Skytex is the ripstop nylon fabric by Porcher that APCO uses in its canopies — listed in the datasheets e.g. as 'Skytex 27 and 33 gr/m² Zero Porosity Ripstop Nylon', partly with a hard-finish coating on the ribs.
