Aspect Ratio

The aspect ratio is the relationship between wing span and mean chord. A low aspect ratio (4–5) means stable and forgiving, a high aspect ratio (6+) means high performance but more active flying.

DSC — Double Siliconized Cloth

DSC (Double Siliconized Cloth) is APCO's double siliconized canopy fabric. Per the manufacturer it sits at the top front — the most porosity-critical area, where most of the lift is generated — and is covered by the 3-year/250-hour warranty.

Mohawk

The Mohawk is an inflatable fin at the centre of the canopy — introduced on the APCO F5. Per the manufacturer it performs much like the stabiliser of an aircraft, adds a level of roll stability never possible before and lets the wing come out of any roll oscillation on its own.

OAA — One Action Acceleration

OAA ('One Action Acceleration-system') is APCO's speed system on reflex wings: per the manufacturer, the speed bar lets you 'accelerate to the maximum in one swift motion' — the fastest possible transition between trim speed and full acceleration.
