How APCO positions the two
- F5 — “a new breed of beginner to intermediate paramotor wing”, “designed for anything from basic schooling (School Risers) up to long distance XC flying”. The Mohawk was introduced for the first time on the F5.
- F7 — “The Ultimate Beginner’s Paramotor Wing”. The manufacturer names three core points: the Mohawk for roll and pitch stability, a single-brake system (“effortless steering with gentle, predictable response — perfect for new pilots”), and risers ready for high and low hook-in from the box.
Both are DGAC-certified and carry the Mohawk stabiliser.
What the F5 does differently
Per APCO, the F5’s trimmer range is designed to deliver as much additional speed as possible without the speed bar — from very slow for nil-wind take-offs up to a fast, stable cruising speed with trimmers fully open (51–53 km/h, V-max 62 km/h). For school operation there are the optional F5 School Risers; the school version is available separately.
What the F7 does differently
The F7 reduces control to one brake and uses the Mohawk for roll and pitch damping — per APCO “making takeoffs, landings, and in-flight handling smoother than ever”. The risers are built for maximum clarity for students and work with high and low hook-in without conversion.
